The day after Luke and Noah had learned the secret about their past Noah visited his mom to tell her that he knew the truth now and that Lily and Holden didn´t know that she had kicked Winston out all the years ago. He also told her that Luke´s parents wanted to meet her again. Charlene was really looking forward to it.

On Wednesday, after Luke and Noah had finished their classes, they met at the parking lot of the campus to drive to Winston´s place together.

When they arrived in front of the apartment, Luke turned the car out and took Noah´s hand in his own. “Are you sure you want to do this?”

Noah gave him a half smile. “I´m sure, as long as you are on my side.”

“Always.” Luke placed a peck on Noah´s lips.

They got out of the car, went towards the door and Noah knocked nervously after he had taken a deep breath.

Winston opened the door only a few moments later. He was totally surprised to see his son again. “Son!” He looked at Luke. “And you brought your friend ...”

“May we come in?” Noah interrupted. Winston nodded. “We know what you did.” Noah said, after they had entered the apartment.

“I don´t know what you´re talking ....”

“You came after Luke´s mom and tryed to make her sleep with you!” Naoh interrupted again.

Winston looked at Luke again. “Are you Luke? Are you the son of Lily and Holden?”

“I am. Guess you didn´t expect that when you saw me the last time.” Luke replied with an evil grin.

“So you found out the truth, what do you two want from me now?” Winston asked after a while of silence. He watched Luke touching his son's shoulders tenderdly and got even more mad, than he had already been before.

“I want to know why you are really back in Oakdale. The real reason. I don´t buy your “you´re my son and I wanted to see you again” shit.” Noah said angryly.

“But that´s the truth.” Winston replied not getting tired off all the lying.

Luke began to squeeze Noah´s back .

“Don´t touch my son like that you little faggot!” Winston yelled out of the blue. But only seconds later he reminded himself that he had to pay attention of what he was saying, if he wanted to realize his plan. “I´m sorry. I didn´t want to annoy your friend.” Winston said while looking at Noah.

Noah wrapped his arm around Luke´s waist. “He is my boyfriend dad! I guess you have a faggot as son than!” Noah yelled.

What? No, thats not true. My son can´t be gay. ...... I can take care of that later, after I realized my plan. Winston thought.

“So you´re telling us what you want or not?” Noah asked.

“Can I talk to you alone, son?”

“Forget it! I remember what you did to him, when you were alone with him the last time, that is not going to happen again.” Luke looked at Noah “Come on let´s go.” He said while pulling him out of the apartment.

They got back into the car and drove back to the campus.

“I´m sorry my dad treated you like that.” Noah said while stroking Luke´s cheek.

“Stop apologizing for things your dad did, Noah.” Luke replied.

Noah let out a sigh. “Yeah you are right, but maybe I should have talk to him alone ...”

“You know I never would have let you do that.” Luke gave him a smile.

Noah didn´t aswer anything, he knew Luke was right, but his fahter had said that he wanted to talk to him alone and if that was the only way he could find out the truth. He wanted to visit him again. Noah knew that Luke had classes tomorrow and in that time he wanted to visit his father again, without telling anybody about it.

He had thought about his father almost the whole night, Noah had slept only a few hours. But no matter how long he thought about it, he had no idea why his father could be back in Oakdale.

Luke had wondered why Noah had acted so strange, before Luke had to go to his class, but he didn´t ask him if everything was alright, because he thought the whole situation with his father was bothering him.

The whole way Noah was driving to Winston´s place he asked himself if he was doing the right thing. After he had arrived he knocked on the door, but this time nobody did answer it. Noah sat down on the stairs in front of the apartment.

Only 15 minutes later Winston arrived.

“I´m back. And this time I´m alone. So tell me what you want.” Noah said while Winston was walking towards him.

“Why don´t you come inside with me, so that we can talk.” Winston replied.

“No. I´m not going inside with you and I´m only asking you this one last time, because I already told you I don´t believe your story. So what do you want from me?”

Winston sat down next to Noah on the stairs. “Okay, if you really want to know the truth.” He paused and looked at Noah, who nodded. “I am ill. That is why I´m back. I need a new kidney son.”

Noah just stare at Winston. Noah knew he was never the reason that he came back to Oakdale, but to hear the truth hurt. All this because he wanted a kidney from him? “Why are you not in a hospital then?”

“I can´t be in a hospital anymore ... I – I don´t ...”

Noah stood up and yelled “I heard enough!” That was the only thing Noah could say before he got back into his car and drove away. He drove on and on, without a goal.

Luke was on his way to Noah´s dorm room, he hadn´t heard anything from him the whole day. When he arrived he found a note on the door:

Luke,
I´m going to meet my father again.
Please don´t be mad. I have to do this.
Love, Noah

Luke sighed. I can´t believe he is doing this.
He grabbed his cellphone out and dialed Noah´s number. Voicemail.

Luke drove to Winston´s place but Noah´s car wasn´t there anymore. Were else could he be? Next place he looked for Noah was Java, but he wasn´t there so he called Maddie, who hadn´t seen him either. Just when Luke was on the way to Charlene´s apartment his cellphone rang.

“Noah! Finally!” Luke answerd the phone.

“Did you find my note?” Noah asked.

“Yeah. I have looked for you everywhere. Are you okay?”

“Yes. Come down. I´m fine. I just needed some time alone.” Noah let out a sigh. “Can we meet?”

“Of course. Where are you?”

“I´m back in my dorm room.”

“Okay. I´ll be there in 10 minutes.” Luke said before hanging up and driving back to the campus.

When Luke entered the dorm room he saw Noah sitting on his bed. Noah got up when he saw Luke and they hugged each other shortly. They sat down next to each other an the bed and Luke wrapped his arm around Noah´s shoulders.

“You wanna tell me what happened?” Luke asked carefully.

“He actually told me the truth.” Noah said while starring at the other side of the room.

Luke just squeezed Noah´s back and waited until he was ready to speak again.

“He is back in Oakdale because he needs a new kidney. That´s why he wanted to see me again.” Noah said with a shakily sound in his voice.

“Oh baby. I´m so sorry.”

“Truth can hurt you know?”

“I know. Come here.” Luke pulled Noah down to the bed so that they were laying snuggly close to each other.

“What are you going to do about your father?” Luke asked.

“I don´t know. Do you think it would make me a bad person if I didn't helpi him?”

“Hey, look at me.” Noah did what Luke was asking for. “All your life he didn´t treat you like your son and now when he needs something from you he is nice. You don´t owe him anything, Noah.”

Noah didn´t want to think about his father anymore right now, he decided to change the subject. “But you owe me a date Snyder.” He said with a smirk on his face.

Luke grinned. “I know, but we have to survive our family dinner first.”

“That´s kind of strange. We have a family dinner before we have our first offical date.” Noah replied.

“Right. And I can´t wait for it.” Luke said before kissing Noah´s lips softly.

Two days later Luke and Noah wanted to meet their parents Lily, Holden and Charlene at the Lakeview restaurant.

Noah and Charlene were already there when Luke and his parents entered the restaurant. Both women had tears in their eyes when they hugged each other friendly.
Luke grabbed Noah´s hand while they were stitting down next to each other at the table. It made them both happy that they kind of brought their parents back together.

During the whole dinner Luke and Noah sat the most of the time in silence. Their parents were talking about the time after they had spent their last summer together where Charlene and Lily were pregnant.

Noah thought about the option to tell them all about why his father was really back in Oakdale, but he didn´t want to ruin the good atmosphere, so he kept his mouth shut.
Lily woke him out of his thoughts when she asked Luke and him, how exactly they met and became a couple.

“Well the first time we talked was at Casey´s party. That was a few days before we asked you the first time about the past.” Noah said.

“That´s not true.” Luke said. Everybody gave him a confused look. “Actually you talked to me the first time a few days before when we ran into each other on campus. Did you forget that?” Luke said with a smile all over his face.

“How could I forget that?” Noah replied. “But the only thing I said to you was sorry.”

Everybody on the table began to laugh and Luke and Noah gave each other a peck on the lips.

“So you lied to me when I asked you if you have already met him, huh?” Holden asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Obviously” Luke replied.

“What happend then?” Charlene asked.

“We met in private to talk to each other and trying to find out about the past.” Luke paused. “Anyway, Noah asked me if Drew was my boyfriend. I got mad and called him a homophobe and that´s when he kissed me for the first time.” Luke said while smiling at Noah.

“Yeah and at first you were all like We-can´t-do-this-Noah.” Noah said to Luke while giggling.

“Oh shut up!” Luke giggled. “But thankfully you changed my mind.”

“So you have been only meeting in private all the time since then?” Lily asked.

“Yeah most of the time we met in Noah´s dorm room and only a few times in Casey´s apartment.” Luke replied.

Charlene cought slightly “I wanna bring out a toast. I want to thank our boys for not giving up and bringing our familys back together.” She raised her glass. “To Luke and Noah!”

Everybody else raised their glasses to “To Luke and Noah.”

Just when they sat their glasses back to the table they heard a voice from behind. “Looks like I´m late to the family dinner.”

Nobody did move, they all were shocked, besides Holden who stood up and went towards Winston. “What are you doing here?”

“It is a family dinner isn´t it?” Winston said with a evin grin.

“Right. And you are not a part of this family.” Noah said, now standing behind Holden.

“Noah is right, you should leave.” Luke said while stroking Noah´s shoulders.

“You. This is all your fault.” Winston looked angry at Luke.

“Excuse me?”

“You are trying to keep my son away from me!” Winston shouted.

“I´m doing that? What about all the stuff you did in the past?” Luke yelled back.

“Shut up!” Before anybody could react Winston grabbed a knife from a table and run it into Luke´s right arm.

“Nooooooo.” Noah yelled out while catching up Luke who was falling almost to the floor, crying out his pain. “What´s wrong with you? Why the hell are you doing this dad?”

Winston wanted to run away, but Holden and some other guests of the restaurant hold him back. “You are not going anywere!” Holden said while grabbing his cellphone out to call the police.

At the same time Lily kneeled down next to Luke and Noah. “Honey, can you walk? We need to get you to the hospital!”

But Luke didn´t answer anything he was passed out and blood was running down his arms.

“Luke? Baby? Can you hear me? Luke!” Noah was stroking his cheek, but Luke still didn´t move or say anything.
